Local vendors may choose to offer discounts to retirees, but it is not a requirement to participate in the HII Discounts program. Refer to individual listings for eligibility.

No. Just go to Local Discounts and find discounts by region, location and discount category.

Go to HII Beneplace and enter the company ID. Because HII Beneplace is only offered to current HII employees, we'll need to verify your employment. Please fill out the form on this page to request the company ID.

While traveling, please use the HII Discounts Mobile Apps (Android and iOS) to locate discounts close to you.

Go to the Local Discounts page and use the drop-down filter. You'll be able to sort by discounts added within 30, 60 or 90 days.

Please refer local vendors to the Vendor Information page, https://www.hii-discounts.com/VendorInformation, where they can learn about the program and apply. For national discounts, please use the business nomination form on the Beneplace website.

It's up to the vendor to decide what they will accept as proof of employment. They are permitted to ask to see your badge, but are prohibited from photographing or photocopying it. Other options include business cards, medical benefits cards & pay stubs.

All HII employees (HII Corporate, Ingalls Shipbuilding, Newport News Shipbuilding and Technical Solutions) are eligible to participate, though some discounts require a company-issued email address to claim.


Vendor Questions:

We review submitted discounts on a rolling basis. If we don't have any questions, it shouldn't take more than a week for us to review and approve your discount.

First read our Rules and Regulations to learn about the program, then create and verify your vendor account. Once you have an account, you can add and edit your offerings. All submissions will be reviewed by HII prior to publication to the website.

Log in to the Vendor area & select the discount you want to edit or remove. You'll then be able to modify or delete that discount. You can also add new discounts. All changes will be reviewed by HII prior to publication to the website.

When vendors join the program, we mail them a window cling which can be displayed in a storefront or vehicle. Vendors may also use the HII Discounts Vendor graphic, available on the Vendor page, in print and online. Use of the HII logo is not permitted..

You may ask to see an employee's badge, but you are prohibited from photographing or photocopying it. Everything else is up to you. Examples are pay stubs, HII medical benefits cards, and business cards or just mentioning the discount.

No. In fairness to all of our vendors, HII does not promote individual discounts in any way. However, we frequently promote the HII Discounts program to employees and our employees can help promote your business.
